Subprocessors
The service providers that process customer data for the Gnok data platform.
Version 2026-10-03 · Effective October 3, 2026
Gnok uses the subprocessors below to provide the Gnok data platform (the "Service"). Each is bound to protect the data it receives, as described in our Data Processing Addendum.
| Subprocessor | What it does | Data it receives | Location |
|---|---|---|---|
| Amazon Web Services, Inc. | Hosting: compute, databases, object storage, backups, content delivery, web firewall, and email delivery (Amazon SES) | All Customer Data, and account information | United States: us-east-1 (Northern Virginia); backup copies in us-west-2 (Oregon) |
| Anthropic, PBC | Language models for AI functions, ASK and AI help in Gnok Studio, only after your organization enables them in AI Governance | Prompts and the Customer Data they reference | United States (company location) |
| OpenAI | Embeddings for EMBED() and vector search, when your Users call them | The text sent for embedding | United States (company location) |
What isn't on this list
- Services you connect. Your identity provider for single sign-on, remote-model endpoints, and other outside services your organization configures receive data at your direction, under your own agreements with them.
- Providers that don't receive Customer Data, such as our domain registrar and source-code hosting.
- Payments. Paid plans aren't available yet. When they are, a payment processor will handle payment details. We will name it here before it receives any data.
- Gnok Mail (gnokmail.com) has its own privacy policy.
Changes
We will update this page and email organization administrators at least 30 days before a new subprocessor starts processing Customer Data. You can object as described in the Data Processing Addendum. Questions: support@gnok.com.
