Version la-2026-10-01 · Effective October 2, 2026 · Replaced October 3, 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Gnok, Inc. ("Gnok", "we", "us") about your use of the Gnok data platform during its Limited Availability preview: Gnok Studio, the Gnok sign-in, catalog and SQL services, and the websites at gnok.com and docs.gnok.com, including the earlier gnok.io addresses that redirect there (together, the "Service"). If you use the Service for an organization, you accept these Terms for that organization and confirm you are allowed to. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
1. A preview, provided as-is
The Service is a preview. It is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows. Results from SQL, models and AI features may be wrong; check anything you rely on.
2. No uptime commitment; changes; deletion
- There is no service-level agreement. The Service may be unavailable, slow or interrupted at any time.
- We may change, suspend or stop any part of the Service, or the whole preview, at any time.
- We may reset environments and delete data stored in the Service, including when the preview ends. We will try to give notice by email before a planned deletion, but we can't promise to. Keep your own copies of anything you need.
- We may set and change usage limits (for example the free plan's limits), and we may decline or remove organizations at our discretion during the preview.
3. Your account
- Give accurate sign-up information and keep it current.
- Keep your credentials secure, use a second factor where the Service asks for one, and tell us at security@gnok.com if you think your account has been compromised.
- Organization administrators are responsible for who they invite and for the access they grant within their organization.
- You must be at least 18 and able to enter into these Terms.
4. Your data
You keep your rights to the data you store in the Service ("Your Data"). You give us permission to host, copy, process and transmit Your Data only as needed to provide the Service, including sending prompts and the data they reference to our AI providers when your organization uses AI features. The Privacy Policy describes how we handle personal information.
Don't store sensitive data. During the preview, don't upload personal information about others, confidential business information, or regulated data (for example health, financial, payment-card or customer records). You are responsible for having the rights to the data you upload.
5. Acceptable use
You must not, and must not help anyone else to:
- break the law, or store or process content that is illegal, infringing, or that you have no right to use;
- harass, defraud, or harm others, or send spam or unsolicited messages through the Service;
- mine cryptocurrency or use the Service's resources for purposes unrelated to working with your data;
- test, scan or probe the Service's security without our written permission, except as our vulnerability disclosure policy allows;
- try to access another organization's data, accounts or systems, or get around limits, quotas or access controls;
- overload or disrupt the Service or its shared resources, including by automated sign-ups or queries designed to exhaust capacity;
- use the Service to build a competing product, or copy, reverse engineer, or resell it, except as the law allows;
- use AI features to generate content that violates our AI providers' usage policies.
We may suspend or remove accounts or organizations that break these rules, with or without notice.
6. Feedback
If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without any obligation to you.
7. Fees
The free plan is free of charge during the preview. If we introduce paid plans, we will tell you the price before you are charged, and paid use will be covered by separate terms.
8. Ending your use
You can stop using the Service at any time and ask us to delete your organization by emailing support@gnok.com; we stop sign-in right away and delete the organization's data after 7 days. We may suspend or end your access at any time, including when the preview ends. Sections 1, 4 (your responsibilities), 6, 9, 10 and 11 continue after your use ends.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Gnok, Inc. will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits or revenue, arising from the Service or these Terms, and its total liability will not exceed US$100. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
10. Indemnity
If you use the Service for an organization, that organization will defend and indemnify Gnok, Inc. against third-party claims arising from Your Data or from use of the Service in breach of these Terms.
11. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you and Gnok consent to their jurisdiction.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will post the new version here with a new version number and, for significant changes, tell you by email or in the Service. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept it.
